Chris Gayle to undergo surgery

India Blooms News Service | | 24 Jul 2015, 10:21 pm
Kingston, July 24 (IBNS) West Indies opener Chris Gayle will be undergoing a back surgery soon.

He will be out of cricket for two to three months.

"The big man @henrygayle tells us he's having back surgery and could be out until December. Good luck, Chris! #CPL15," CPLT20 tweeted.

Gayle was quoted as saying by  espncricinfo.com: "I have a charity game on the 2nd, but after that I will be out of cricket for two to three months. I am going to do a surgery on my back."

"So I need some time for recovery. Maybe December, before I actually get back in cricket as well. You have got to wish me luck with that surgery and then I will be back strong. Who knows, we will see what happens," he said.
