Pakistan: Wasim Akram's car attack, former skipper unhurt

Karachi, Aug 5 (IBNS): Former Pakistan cricket team skipper and a member of 1992 World Cup winning side Wasim Akram's car was fired upon in Karachi's Karsaz area on Wednesday, media reports said.

Confirming the incident, Akram told Geo News that he was on his way to the National Stadium to attend a bowling camp when a vehicle rammed into his car from behind.

He told the channel  that some guards and the owner of the other vehicle came out and shot at the car he was traveling.

The bullet hit my car's tires but I remained safe, Wasim told Geo News.

He has played 104 Tests, 356 ODIs for Pakistan.
