India A beat Bangladesh A by 75 runs, clinch series

Bangalore, Sept 20 (IBNS) Suresh Raina smashed a brilliant century as India A defeated Bangladesh A by 75 runs, via D/L method, to clinch the three-match 50-over series on Sunday.

Posting 297 for six on the scorecard, India A restricted the opponents at 141 for six.

Rain interrupted the play and India were later adjudged winner as per D/L method.

Raina (104) and Sanju Samson (90) added 116 runs in the third wicket partnership which helped them post a competitive total on the board.


Raina smashed nine boundaries and a six in his 94-ball knock.

Shafiul Islam took two wickets for Bangladesh A.

Chasing the total and hit by rain, Bangladesh were restricted at 141 runs for six.

Sabbir Rahman remained the top scorer for the Bangladesh A side with his unbeaten  41 runs.

India won the unofficial ODI series 2-1.
