Harbhajan Singh ties the knot with longtime beau Geeta Basra
Jalandhar, Oct 29 (IBNS) Ace Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and beau Bollywood actress Geeta Basra finally tied the knot on Wednesday in Jalandhar.
Harbhajan, popularly known as Bhajji, was in a long term relation with the filmstar.
The 35-year old cricketer and his newly wedded wife sported traditional attires. While Basra looked stunning drapped in a Archana Kochhar lehenga, Bhajji complimented his bride in a red and white outfit and carried a sword as part of the tradition.
The evening wasn't void of stars as cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by wife Anjali and Mukesh Ambani's son Akash walked in to bless the couple.
Earlier, the Sangeet ceremony saw the likes of popular singers Mika Singh and Gurdas Mann and the Punjab Ranji team attend the event.
The couple are expected to throw a reception party in New Delhi on Nov 1.
Messages have poured in for the newly weds, wishing the couple a happy married life.
Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, Anurag Thakur wrote on Twitter: "Wishing @harbhajan_singh & Geeta a happy married life as you begin this special journey together!."
Best mate and fellow Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh was his cheeky best as the southpaw wrote: "Can't bowl the dusra now buddy Stick to one line ! Wish @harbhajan_singh and @Geeta_Basra a happy life together love u both."
Cricketer Suresh Raina wrote: "Each luckier than the other. You've already been bowled over. @harbhajan_singh @Geeta_Basra Now to a great partnership brother!."
