Mumbai, Jan 25 (IBNS) Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara celebrated his 28th birthday on Monday.

Pujara was born in 1988 to Reena and Arvind Pujara.

After a prolific domestic run, where he amassed runs at will, Pujara made his senior debut in 2010 against Australia in a Bangalore Test.

He also represented India in the U19 World Cup, emerging as the highest run-getter in the 2006 U19 World Cup.

After initial success at the highest level, Pujara has been out of form of late.

Playing 32 Test matches for India, he has scored 7 centuries and half centuries, including two double centuries.

Though he has an average of 47 in Tests, the Saurashtra batsman is yet to prove his credential in the shorter format of the game.

In 5 ODIs he has managed only 51 runs at an average of 10.20.
