ETC approves replacement in Bangladesh’s squad for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016
Sanjit’s bowling action was found to be illegal on Sunday, and, as such, he cannot bowl in international cricket until such time that he submits himself to an independent assessment of his bowling action, which will be conducted by an appointed specialist at an ICC Accredited Testing Centre pursuant to the ICC Standard Analysis Protocols, which, in turn, has to conclude that he has remedied his action.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016 includes ICC General Manager – Cricket, Geoff Allardice, ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley, host nominees Mahbubul Anam and Mohammed Jalal Younus, and independent nominees and former international cricketers Russel Arnold and Dominic Cork.
Bangladesh plays Namibia in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday. The winner of the match will top Group A and will play its quarter-final in Mirpur on 5 February against the side which loses the India-Nepal match currently being played in Mirpur.
