Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kings by 5 wickets

Hyderabad, Apr 23 (IBNS) Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kings XI Punjab by five wickets in an IPL encounter here on Saturday.

Posting 143 runs for the loss of six wickets, Hyderabad batsmen then chased down the target and reached 146 runs by losing five wickets.

David Warner (59) and Shikhar Dhawan (45) added 90 runs in the first wicket partnership to take the side close to victory.

Warner hammered seven boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Sandeep Sharma broke the partnership, followed by few quick wickets delayed the time to reach the target.

Mohit Sharma and R Dhawan picked up a wicket each for Kings.

Earlier, riding on Shaun Marsh (40) and Axar Patel's 17-ball  unbeaten 36, Kings posted 143 on the scorecard.
