Men, women hockey teams announced for Olympics

New Delhi, July 12 (IBNS): With the Olympics coming up, the men and women Hockey squads for the tournament were announced on Tuesday.

P.R. Sreejesh was named the skipper of the men side.

The women's team will play under the leadership of Sushila Chanu  in the tournament.

BJP President Amit Shah was present at the event when the squads were unveiled.

"Though I am the captain, there will be rotational captaincy. It has worked for the team in Champions Trophy. There will be three or four captains," Sreejesh told NDTV.

Men's Team for the Games: Harmanpreet Singh, Rupinder Pal Singh, Kothajit Singh, Surender Kumar, Manpreet Singh, Sardar Singh, V.R. Raghunath, S.K. Uthappa, P.R. Sreejesh (Captain), Danish Mujtaba, Devinder Walmiki, S.V. Sunil, Akashdeep Singh, Chinglensana Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Nikkin Thimmiah.
