West Indies in dire straits after losing four wickets in first session

Kingston, Aug 2 (IBNS): In a session's play marred by rains, the Indian bowlers picked up four wickets to leave the host team reeling, who is fighting hard to save the Test match, here on Tuesday, day four of the second Test match.

At lunch, West Indies have put on 48 runs for the loss of four wickets.

It was an encore from the Indian bowlers as they managed to pick up four wickets in the first session of play yet again.

The Caribbean side was trailing by 304 runs when they walked out to the field today.

Rajendra Chandrika was the first to go, dragging one from Ishant Sharma.

The joy was short lived as rain forced the players to walk out of the park, allowing only three overs of play.

Once it resumed, Mohammad Shami swung the ball both ways to trouble the batsmen, though wickets eluded him.

A visibly set Kraigg Brathwaite (23) miscued a pull shot and fell prey to Amit Mishra, triggering the collapse.

Marlon Samuels (0) and Darren Bravo (20) was undone by Shami's discipline bowling.

Shami knocked Samuels' stumps to send the Jamaican back to the pavillion and followed it up with a brutal short pitched ball to take the winds off Bravo's sails.

Jermaine Blackwood (3) is at the crease and will resume batting post lunch.
