Rio de Janeiro, Aug 18 (IBNS): Showing grit and dexterity, Indian grappler Sakshi Malik won the Bronze medal in the women's 58kg freestyle bout, ending the nation's wait for a laurel.

Sakshi's medal win will probably go down as one of the best comeback by an Indian athlete as she fought her way back after trailing 0-5 and eventually overcame her opponent, Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan, 8-5.

Winning the bout, the grappler said that she was confident of a podium finish.

She added that the result was a culmination of a decade long hard work and training.
