Lauderhill , Aug 27 (IBNS): USA witnessed West Indies batting charisma as openers Johnson Charles (79) and Evin Lewis (100) hammered Indian bowlers all-round the park to post massive 245 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs in the first T20 match of the series on Saturday.

Charles showed his brilliance with the willow as he smashed 33-ball 79.

He smashed six boundaries and seven sixes in his prolific knock which was cut short by Mohammed Shami in the 10th over of the game.

Evin Lewis, hitting five boundaries and nine sixes, however, reached 100.

Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard  contributed 22 runs each.


Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each.

India made its US debut with this match as they will need 246 runs to win the clash.
