Australia score record 263/3, beat SL by 85 runs
Riding on Glenn Maxwell's heroic unbeaten 65-ball 145, Australia posted record 263/3 and then it was bowlers who finished off the task by restricting Sri Lanka at 178 for nine in 20 overs.
Australia with its mammoth total posted the highest T20 score posted by any international squad in International cricket.
Maxwell hammered 14 boundaries and nine sixes in his knock as he became the second highest individual run scorer in International T20 cricket history.
Maxwell, who made a comeback with the game, is behind teammate Aaron Finch.
He scored 156 runs against England in 2013.
Sri Lanka were restricted at 178 for nine.
Dinesh Chandimal remained the top scorer for the side with his 58 runs.
