500th Test: India win toss, opt to bat first against New Zealand

Kanpur, Sept 22 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first against visitors New Zealand in the first Test of the series here on Thursday.

Creating history, this is India's 500th Test match.

India will play three Tests against New Zealand in the series.

Indian team:

M Vijay, L Rahul, C Pujara, V Kohli, A Rahane, R Sharma, R Ashwin, W Saha, R Jadeja, M Shami, U Yadav

New Zealand team:
