Guwahati ready to host ISL-3 opening ceremony

Guwahati, Sept 28 (IBNS) : Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Sarusajai, Guwahati will be witnessing another mega sporting event as the Indian Super League’s third season to kick off from October 1 after hosting the South Asian Games opening ceremony earlier this year.

The opening ceremony of the ISL-3 will held at Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium, Sarusajai at around 5-30 pm on October 1 in presence of several Bollywood stars, sporting icons ahead of the opening match between hosts NorthEast United FC and Kerala Blasters FC.

Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandes, Varun Dhawan along with 500 other performers are ready to rock the opening ceremony of the ISL-3.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar who owns the Kerala Blasters will also present in the opening ceremony.

Ahead of starting the ISL-3, Guwahati city police has arranged adequate security measures in the capital city of Assam.

“We have arranged adequate security for the mega sporting event,” Assam police Special DG Kula Saikia said.

Meanwhile Bollywood star John Abraham who owns the NorthEast United FC said that, the host team will perform better than previous season.

“I am very excited for the event and hope the host team will give best perform,” John Abraham said.
