Prime Minister unveils BRICS U-17 trophy

New Delhi, Oct 1 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Trophy for the BRICS U-17 Football Tournament o Saturday here.

All India Football Federation President Praful Patel and the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Vijay Goel were present on the occasion.

Modi wished all the participating teams as he tweeted from his Official account @narendramodi: "Unveiled the trophy for the BRICS U-17 Football Tournament. My best wishes to all participating teams."

The BRICS U-17 Tournament will be played on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Goa with U-17 National Teams from Brazil, Russia, China PR, South Africa and India locking horns for the top honours.

The Tournament kicks off in Goa on Oct 5 with India taking on Russia on the opening day of the Tournament. The final for the Tournament is slated for Oct 15.
