Anil Kumble turns 46

New Delhi, Oct 17 (IBNS): Indian cricket team's head coach Anil Kumble on Monday turned 46.

Anil Kumble had earlier served as the skipper of the Indian team.

Recently,he scripted another success story as the coach when his Team India defeated New Zealand 3-0 in the home Test series.

Indian cricketers wished him on his birthday.

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar greeted him by tweeting: "A champion in every sense of the word, happy birthday to @anilkumble1074! May you lead our country to jumbo victories always!"

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli wished the leg-spinner and said: "Wish you a very happy birthday @anilkumble1074 Hope you have a wonderful day and best wishes always. God Bless."

Indian opener Gautam Gambhir tweeted: "Happy Birthday @anilkumble1074 Immortal 1st innings in Indian cricket, hope to see you go one further in the 2nd innings. Have a great day!"

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman said: "Warm birthday wishes to my good friend @anilkumble1074 Have a great year Anil."

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh posted: "A legend who took Indian cricket to greater heights with hard work courage and determination! Wishing @anilkumble1074 a very happy birthday."

Spinner Harbhajan Singh greeted him and tweeted: "Many happy returns of the day Jumbo! Wishing you the best for your second innings! True champion and an amazing mentor @anilkumble1074."

The BCCI also wished the Indian coach on the occasion by tweeting: "Here's wishing a very happy birthday to former #TeamIndia skipper and current coach Mr. @anilkumble1074 #Legend."

BCCI chief Aurag Thakur said: "Happy great birthday @anilkumble1074 & all the best for the next ODIs! :-)."
