No decision taken on fifth India-England Test in Chennai: BCCI

Mumbai, Dec 6 (IBNS): The BCCI on Tuesday said no decision has been taken regarding hosting of the fifth match of the Paytm Test series between India and England in Chennai from Dec 16, following the sensitive situation in the state following the death of late former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

"BCCI would like to inform that no decision has been taken regarding hosting of the fifth match of the Paytm Test series against England in Chennai from December 16, 2016," read a BCCI statement.

"BCCI is in constant touch with Tamil Nadu Cricket Association & local authorities and constantly monitoring the situation. BCCI fully understands the sensitivity of the matter and will keep everyone informed," it said.

Jayalalithaa passed away on Monday.
