PM Modi congratulates Pankaj Advani following 16th world title

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated World Billiards Champion Pankaj Advani.

Advani on Thursday rued the lack of acknowledgement from his countrymen.

He took to twitter to make his feelings public.

"Some things r taken for granted in our country! Maybe I should win a medal once in 4 years- may have more impact," his tweet read.

A day after Advani's tweet, the Prime Minister responded with, "Congratulations @PankajAdvani247 for winning the World Billiards Championships title. Your achievement is truly wonderful."

Chuffed up with the tweet from the Prime Minister, the winner of 16 world titles in cue sports tweeted, "Thank you Hon PM Modi Sir for your kind words and wishes. Made my day."
