Jallikattu protest in Chennai: R Ashwin takes metro to return home
Chennai, Jan 24 (IBNS): As protests over Jallikattu turned violent in Chennai on Monday. Indian spinner R Ashwin was forced to take a metro to reach his home from airport.
Ashwin stays in West Mambalam in Chennai.
The Indian spinner had landed in Chennai from Kolkata after playing the third ODI against England.
He has been rested for the T20 series against the same side.
"Such situations dictate usage of the public transport, thank the airport police for taking me through safely!," Ashwin tweeted.
