R Ashwin picks up six wickets, India beat Australia by 75 runs
Needing 188 runs for victory, Australia, Indian bowlers had only one option with them but to attack on the strong opposition who were 1-0 up in the series.
A win by Australia here was enough to damage India's dream of winning the series.
Indian bowlers came out preapred and took advantage of the fourth day's pitch to put pressure on the Australian batsmen from the very first half of their second innings.
Ishant Sharma strike early and got rid off opener Matt Renshaw (5).
R Ashwin did not delay in joining the party and dismissed David Warner (17) before he could create much damage for the hosts.
Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals and it was skipper Steve Smith who tried to give some resistance to Indian bowlers with his 48-ball 28, smashing three boundaries.
Umesh Yadav dismissed him to give relief to Indian fans.
R Ashwin then bowled a magical spell to finish with a match-winning figure of 6-41 which ensured India a victory in the second Test.
Peter Handscomb remained the second highest scorer for Australia with 24.
Earlier, India were bowled out for 274 in their second innings.
India levelled series 1-1 with the victory.
