Dharamsala, Mar 27 (IBNS): Indian batsmen played sensibly to put up 19 runs on the scorecard as the home side will need another 87 runs to clinch the series against Australia at the end of the third day's play here on Monday.

On the third day of the fourth Test, Indian openers-KL Rahul (13*) and Murali Vijay (6*)- played the remaining overs sensibly to inch India further closer to victory.

Rahul was hitting the ball smoothly as he smashed three boundaries in 18 balls he played on Monday.

Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly as they bowled out Australia for 137 runs in the second innings here on Monday.

India will only need to score 106 to clinch the series.

R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets each as Australia struggled to face the Indian bowlers in this crucial third day of the fourth and final Test match of the series.

Glenn Maxwell remained the top scorer for Australia with his 45 runs knock.

The series is currently levelled at 1-1.
