Davis Cup: Ramanathan defeats Sanjar Fayziev, to hand India 4-0 lead

Bangalore, Apr 9 (IBNS): In the first reverse single, Indian Tennis player Ramkumar Ramanathan defeated Sanjar Fayziev to give the home side 4-0 lead in their Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group I second round tie against Uzbekistan on Sunday.

The Indian player defeated the opponent 6-3, 6-2.

The match lasted for nearly an hour.

Indian team reached to Davis Cup World Group Play-offs by beating Uzbekistan on Saturday.

In the Asia/Oceania Group I second round contest, India's Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji defeated  Farrukh Dustov and Sanjar Fayziev 6-2 6-4 6-1 in the doubles clash to reach the Play-offs.

India beat their opponents to take an unassailable 3-0 lead.
