Indore, Apr 20 (IBNS): Kings XI Punjab received a crushing defeat from Mumbai Indians by 8 wickets in a high scoring match in the tenth edition of Indian Premier League, on Thursday.

After losing the toss, KXIP came out to bat and posted a total of 198/4 with the maiden IPL hundred of South African batsman Hashim Amla.

However chasing the target, MI went on with a good opening partnership between Jos Buttler and Parthiv Patel which never allowed KXIP to get a grip in the match.

While Buttler got out on 77, Nitish Rana continued his good form in IPL 10 and remained unbeaten on 62.

Kings had no control over the game with the ball, as the run rate of MI kept on rising above ten runs per over, which eventually helped the winning side to wrap up the match with more than four over left.

Mohit Sharma and Marcus Stoinis shared one wicket each for the Kings.
