Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly and restricted the opponents at 189 runs.
Via Duckworth-Lewis, India won the match after scoring 129 runs for the loss of three wickets after 26 overs.
After losing Ajinkya Rahane (7) early, Shikhar Dhawan (40) and skipper Virat Kohli (52*) added 68 runs in the secodn wicket partnership to stabilise the ship.
After Dhawan returned, Dinesh Karthik came down to the crease but persihed fast without adding a single run on the board.
Smashing two boundaries and a six, MS Dhoni remained unbeaten at 17 runs.
Rain hit the game after 26 overs and later India were declared winners.
earlier, Indian bowlers performed strongly on the English soil during a practice match against New Zealand, ahead of the Champions Trophy, as the Kiwis were bowled out for 189 runs.
India bowled out New Zealand for 189 in 38.4 overs.
It was only New Zealand's batsman Luke Ronchi who top scored and tried to give some resistance to the Indian bowlers with his 66 runs.
Ronchi smashed six boundaries and two sixes.
James Neesham remained unbeaten at 46 runs.
Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar shinned with the ball as they picked up three wickets each for India.
