Champions Trophy 2017: Pakistan restrict South Africa to 219/8 in 50 overs
Winning the toss, South Africa came out to bat and failed to put up a decent show with the willow.
The top order batsmen, despite getting starts, failed to capitalise on them except David Miller who stayed till the end scoring 75 runs from 104 balls.
Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada scored 28 and 26 respectively to push the team to a decent total, towards the end.
The Pakistani bowlers were at the top of the game as they picked up wickets at regular intervals of the South African innings.
Hasan Ali had the best bowling figure for Pakistan with 3/24 from eight overs.
Junaid Khan and Imad Wasim shared two wickets each of the proteas batting line up.
Pakistan, who had lost their first game of the tournament against India miserably, would require to chase down the target at a run rate slightly more than four runs per over.
