Australian Open: Kidambi Srikanth, PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal reach quarter finals

Sydney, June 22 (IBNS): All Indian competitors, Kidambi Srikanth, PV Sindhu and Sania Nehwal, reached the quarter finals of Australian Open after beating their respective opponents on Thursday.

Srikanth defeated Son Wan Ho of South Korea for the second time in a week and this time in sets 15-21, 21-13, 21-13.

PV Sindhu defeated her opponent from Malaysia, Soniia Cheah, in 21-15, 20-22, 21-14 sets.

Saina Nehwal secured a seat in the quarter final by defeating Chen Xiaoxin in 21-13, 21-18 sets.

On the other hand, B Sai Praneeth, outplayed Huang Yuxiang of China to advance to the quarters. He will face Kidambi in the quarter final clash.
