Islamabad/London, July 17 (IBNS): Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal has drawn criticisms from fans as he was trolled on social media after he posted his image on Twitter standing beside a Bentley.

Akmal tweeted the image with the caption: "Enjoying London after hard work."

Umar's cricket career has not been moving on a positive direction in recent times as he was even removed from Pakistan Cricket Board's list of players to receive national contracts.

He has been spending time in England right now.

His fans trolled him over the image.

One Khan tweeted: "He's showing off with a car because the rest of the players are getting awarded free cars and he's not it's killing him ."

Another netizen Waqar Asghar Raja posted: "enjoying London after Losing Central Contract."

Another Twitter user Assif remarked: "Only if you worked on ur cricket as much as ur pics we would have a half decent cricketer."

Amid negative comments, Umar again urged his fans to stop posting such remarks and tweeted: "I Love all my fans. A humble request to all fans please refrain from negative comments. Your prayers and support is always appreciated."

Umar did not find a place in Champions Trophy squad.

Pakistan won the trophy.
