Adam Gilchrist found ex-Australian cricketer Michael Bevan a challenging bowler to keep

Sydney, July 25 (IBND): Former Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist on Tuesday said it was ex-cricketer Michael Bevan whom he found difficult to keep.

A charismatic batsman, Bevan was skillful in his art of part-time left-arm leg-spin bowling.

"Bevo’s not renowned for his bowling," Gilchrist was quoted as saying to The Unplayable Podcast.

"The left-arm leggie, fast action, very difficult to pick out of the hand. That’s why it was so challenging," he said.

Adam said: "And Bevo will concede himself he didn’t have the greatest control so whilst he could land it right on a sixpence he could also throw them far and wide too, so it was always a challenge."
