Pune, Oct 25 (IBNS): Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly as he helped the home side restrict New Zealand at 230 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the second ODI match of the series here on Wednesday.

Kumar picked up three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up two wickets each to restrict New Zealand below 250-run mark.

New Zealand were in deep trouble earlier as they were reduced to 4-58 after 16 overs.

C de Grandhomme (41) and Henry Nicholls (42) managed to put up a fight and end the total to a respectable position at the end of 50 overs.

New Zealand defeated India in the first ODI.

The visitors are currently 1-0 ahead in the series.
