Moeen Ali signs new five year contract Worcestershire

London, Oct 27 (IBNS): England batsman Moeen Ali has signed a new five year contract with county side Worcestershire.

Ali is a part of the Ashes side.

Ali will be busy with the Ashes series in England in the upcoming months.

England turn their attention to white ball cricket with five ODIs and two T20Is against the Aussies through to the middle of February.

England immediately make the short trip to New Zealand for two T20s and five ODIs before their long winter ends with two Tests against the Black Caps.

"The players will eventually return to these shores in early April in the same week as the 2018 Specsavers County Championship programme is scheduled to start," read the Worcestershire website.

The squads for the white ball leg of the Australian trip – or to face New Zealand – have yet to be announced.

But Moeen has been a member of the England squad in all three formats and looks set to have plenty of opportunities to add to his 44 Tests, 63 ODIs and 22 T20Is in the coming months.
