New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS): Former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag wished boxer MC Mary Kom as she won her fifth Asian Boxing Championships title.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted: "Way to go, @MangteC. My best wishes to you for the finals. More power to you, Champ. #ASBC2017Women."

Sehwag said: "Congratulations @MangteC on
Winning another Gold medal at the #AsianBoxingChampionships . #MagnificientMary."

MC Mary Kom won her fifth Asian Boxing Championships title by beating Korea’s Hyang Mi Kim to add another feather to her cap, reports said.

This was Mary Kom’s fifth final in only six appearances.

Kom had previously won all her medals in the 51 kg category while she competed in 48 kg category this time.

This makes it her maiden win in this weight class.

Mary Kom had defeated Japan’s Tsubasa Komura in a unanimous 5-0 verdict to make the summit clash.
