Sri Lanka fighting at 31/3, Indian bowlers give late advantage
New Delhi, Dec 5 (IBNS): Indian bowlers gave home side some late advantage in the third Test as they picked up crucial wickets to leave Sri Lanka battling at 31 runs for the loss of three wickets at the end of the days's play here on Tuedsay.
Sri Lankan batsmen have been set a target of 410 runs for victory in the Test match.
A win in New Delhi will ensure Sri Lanka a drawn series.
India are already 1-0 ahead in the series.
Sri Lanka have lost the wickets of Dimuth Karunaratne (13), Sadeera Samarawickrama (5) and Suranga Lakmal (0).
Angelo Mathews (0) and Dhananjaya de Silva (13*) are currently at the crease.
Ravndra Jadeja picked up two wickets while Mohammed Shami scalped one as Sri Lankan batsmen will now need to battle hard to save the game.
Earlier, India declared their second innings at 246 runs for the loss of five wickets.
