Kolkata, Jan 12 (IBNS): The ITF Junior Tennis, a Dakshin Kolikata Sangsad event, will be held at Deshpriya Park red clay courts this year.

The qualifying rounds will be played on Jan 13 and 14.

After organising the ITF Junior Circuit for the past twenty five years and pioneering in getting the same to India, hosts said they have been entrusted once again to hold the World Ranking championship this year.

The professional approach and personalized attention given to each individual participating player has earned DKS the distinction of hosting this Grade 2 category tournament.

It has also had the distinction of being voted the Best Organized Tournament in 2002 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The official accommodations are Hotel Metropole, Hotel Casa Broadway and Thara Mahal.

The tournament will follow the guidelines laid down by the “International Tennis Federation”.

Only Boys and Girls born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2004 may participate in the event.

Players may not participate unless they have reached their 13th birthday before the start of the Main Draw.
