South Africa bowled out for 335 runs in first innings
Centurion, Jan 14 (IBNS): Indian bowlers took few hours to wrap up the South African first innings at 335 runs in the second Test match of the series here on Sunday.
India has scored four runs for the loss of no wicket in heir first innings till lunch.
India are still 331 runs behind South Africa.
KL Rahul (o) and Murali Vijay (0) are currently at the crease.
Captain Faf du Plessis (63) registered his 17th fifty in Test cricket as South Africa added 66 runs to the overnight score from 269/6 to post 335 runs on Sunday.
Though he did not get a proper support at the other end of the crease, Du Plessis, who was unbeaten on 24 on Saturday, continued playing smoothly this morning.
Indian bowlers found it a bit challenging to disturb him.
Faf continued playing shots judiciously as he contributed crucial runs that kept the first innings flowing.
Overnight batsman Keshav Maharaj (18) was showed route to the pavilion by Indian seamer Mohammed Shami.
Kagiso Rabada (11) and Morne Morkel (6) departed fast, failing to give Faf much needed support at the other end of the crease.
Ravichandran Ashwin (4/113) and Ishant Sharma (3/46) bowled strongly for the visitors.
