India struggling to save Centurion Test, reduced to 35/3 at stumps on day 4
Centurion, Jan 16 (IBNS): Chasing a target of 287, India have once again suffered a top order batting collapse as the visitors are reduced to 35/3 at stumps on the fourth day of second Test match in Centurion on Tuesday.
The South African bowlers completely ruptured the Indian top order batting by picking wickets of Murali Vijay (9), KL Rahul (4) and Virat Kohli (5).
While Rabada took Vijay's wicket, Ngidi clinched Rahul and Kohli's wickets.
India still need 252 runs to win the Test match and level the three-match series.
Cheteshwar Pujara and Parthiv Patel remained unbeaten by the end of the day's play at 11 and 5 runs respectively.
Earlier, South Africa were bowled out to 258 in the second innings.
India scored 307 in reply to South Africa's 335 runs in the first innings.
