VVS Laxman praises India's young talent Shubman Gill after his 'matured' knock against Pakistan in ICC U19 WC semis

New Delhi, Jan 30 (IBNS): Former Indian player VVS Laxman on Tuesday praised Indian cricketer Shubman Gill for playing a 'matured' knock during the semi-final clash against Pakistan in the ICC Under 19 World Cup.

Guided by Gill's century, India reached the final of the tournament by beating Pakistan by 203 runs.

"What a 100 from Shubman Gill.Played with a lot of maturity and responsibility.272 is a good score. Now the onus is on the bowlers. #IndvPak #under19worldcup," Laxman tweeted.

He appreciated India's performance in the match and said: " What an incredible performance by the Under 19 boys. Mighty impressed with the fielding and not giving Pakistan even an inch. As comprehensive as it gets. Best wishes for the finals #INDvPAK ."

Gull smashed 102 runs in his knock.

He hit seven boundaries in his 94-ball knock.
