Virat Kohli to skip Afghanistan Test?
Kabul, Mar 24 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli might miss the upcoming debut Test match of Afghanistan, media reports said.
India and Afghanistan are all set to play a Test match in June this year.
However, Kohli might miss it as he is likely to play for Surrey during that period.
The first Test begins on August 1 at Edgbaston In doing so, the skipper will miss Afghanistan’s debut Test in India to be hosted in Bengaluru starting June 14 and will instead head to the south of London post the Indian Premier League (IPL), reported The Times of India newspaper.
Kohli's visit to England to play for the British club will be crucial before his side tours the nation in the middle of the year.
The first Test between India and England will commence from Aug 1.
