Dehradun, Mar 25 (IBNS): Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was recently injured after he was involved in a road mishap recently.

The accident reportedly occurred when he was travelling from Dehradun to New Delhi on Saturday.

Shami will play the upcoming IPL season for Delhi Daredevils.

He reportedly got injured during the accident and even had to be given stitches, media reports said.

Shami was in Dehradun recently to train at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy (ACA).

Shami was recently cleared by the BCCI off match-fixing allegations leveled against him.

He has alsooffered an annual retainership contract by the board.

The BCCI on Friday said Shami has been offered a Grade B contract.

A strike bowler, Shami has picked up 110 wickets in the 30 Tests so far played by him.

In his career, he took 91 wickets in 50 ODI matches while he managed to pick up eight wickets in seven T20 matches.

"The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) had requested Mr Neeraj Kumar, former Police Commissioner of Delhi and Head of BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit, to investigate the allegations against Mohd. Shami insofar as they pertain to the provisions of the BCCI Anti-Corruption Code," read a statement issued by the BCCI.

"Mr Neeraj Kumar has submitted his confidential report to the CoA. Based on the conclusions in the said report, the CoA is of the view that no further actions/ proceedings under the BCCI anti-corruption code are warranted in the matter," read the statement.

Speaking on the contract given to him, the board said: "Mr Neeraj Kumar has submitted his confidential report to the CoA. Based on the conclusions in the said report, the CoA is of the view that no further actions/ proceedings under the BCCI anti-corruption code are warranted in the matter."

Shami's wife earlier this month alleged that her husband is engaged in extra-marital affairs with several women across the country

Posting several screenshots of Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall, Indian fast bowler's wife, Hasin Jahan, claimed that Mohammed Shami was having several extra-marital affairs simultaneously.
