Saina Nehwal defeats PV Sindhu to bag gold at CWG 2018

Gold Coast, Apr 15 (IBNS):  In a high voltage match, Saina Nehwal defeated higher ranking PV Sindhu and clinched the gold medal in the women's singles category at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday.

Saina won 21-18 23-21 in the high-pressure match.

Sindhu has bagged the silver medal.

Sunday's win is important for Saina as she was replaced by Sindhu as India's 'Badminton Queen' after the latter's performance at Rio Olympics 2016.
