Pune, Apr 20 (IBNS): Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will take on Ajinkya Rahane's Rajasthan Royals in a sporting encounter in the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday.

Chennai will play the match at their new home ground, Pune, on Friday.

Both the teams have lost their respective last matches.

Despite a masterclass batting by Dhoni, Chennai had failed to stop Ravichandran Ashwin's Kings XI Punjab from registering a victory.

Dhoni fought a lone battle for his team against Punjab, scoring 90 odd runs.

Rajasthan was completely outplayed at their den by an all-round performance by Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.

Chennai and Rajasthan are at fourth and fifth positions respectively in the IPL standings with four points. However, Chennai played a match less than Rahane and his men.

The only match of the day is scheduled to begin at 8 pm.
