Delhi Daredevils beat Rajasthan in IPL match to keep hopes alive

New Delhi, May 3 (IBNS):  Captain Shreyas Iyer and stumper Rishabh Pant hammered crucial half-centuries which helped Delhi Daredevils defeat Rajasthan Royals by four runs in an IPL match here on Wednesday.

In the match which was decided via D/L method, Delhi first scored competitive 196 runs for the loss of six wickets while Rajasthan were restricted to 146 for five.

The revised target was set at 151 runs.

Prithvi Shaw (47), Iyer (50) and Pant (69) contributed runs as they helped DD to post 196 runs on the scorecard.

Pant batted heroically and hammered seven boundaries and five sixes in his innings.   

Jos Buttler scared 67 with his willow for Rajasthan but after he departed things started to change.

He scored four boundaries and seven sixes in his knock.

Trent Boult picked up two wickets for Delhi.

The victory kept Delhi's chances to qualify to the next round of the tournament.
