Rajasthan Royals defeat Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets

Mumbai, May 14 (IBNS): Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in an Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.

Mumbai first posted 168 runs for the loss of six wickets and then Rajasthan came down to the park with a purpose and reached 171 runs by losing three wickets.

Apart from captain Ajinkya Rahane's 37 runs, Jos Buttler scripted the victory for Rajasthan by hammering match-winning 53-ball 94 runs. He hit five sixes and nine boundaries in his innings.

Sanju Samsom contributed 26 runs with his willow.

Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets for Mumbai.

Earlier, riding on Evin Lewis' 42-ball 60, Mumbai added 168 runs on the scorecard.

Lewis hit four boundaries and sixes in his knock.

Yadav (38) and Pandya (36) made some crucial contributions with their willows.

Archer and Stokes picked up two wickets each for Rajasthan.
