Bengaluru, Jun 14 (IBNS): India scored 347/6 at stumps on the first day of an one-off Test match against Afghanistan at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Thursday.

Shikhar Dhawan (107) and Murali Vijay (105) were the top scorers for India on the first day of the match.

KL Rahul scored 54 off 64 balls.

Yamin Ahmadzai was the best bowler for Afghanistan. He picked two wickets for 32 runs in 13 overs.

The one-off Test match marked the beginning of Afghanistan's journey in the longest format of the sport.

This is the first time Afghanistan players are wearing their official white jerseys on field.

India are having right-handed batsman Ajinkya Rahane as the skipper for the Test match in absence of Virat Kohli.

Kohli had pulled himself out of the Test match to play county cricket, as a preparation for the upcoming England series.

However Kohli later suffered a injury to miss his county stint.
