Sochi, June 19 (IBNS): Panama had a poor start to their World Cup campaign as Belgium defeated them by 3-0 margin in a World Cup clash here on Monday.
Romelu Lukaku shined for Belgium as he scored twice to give Belgium an upper edge in the match.
The first half remained slow and goalless but the match gained momentum in the next half.
Dries Mertens finally broke Panama's resistance and scored the first goal for the third-ranked world in the globe.
Lukaku then made sure he adds two more to ensure 3-0 victory for the side.
Belgium will now face Tunisia in the next match.
The match will be played on June 23.
England and Panama will contest in their second match.
