Asian Games: Divya Kakran wins bronze

Jakarta, Aug 21 (IBNS):  Divya Kakran settled for bronze in the 68kg category of the women wrestling in the ongoing Asian Games here on Tuesday.

The Indian wrestler defeated Taipei's Chen Wenling in the third-place play-off bout.

On her way to win the bronze medal, Kakran prevailed on account of Technical Superiority with the final scoreline reading 10-0 at th end of the match.

Indian wrestlers Bajrang Punia (65kg) and Vinesh Phogat (50kg)  
earlier settled for gold medals in their respective events.

Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore congratulated the wrestler and tweeted: "FANTASTIC MATCH, Divya Kakran! The star athlete has won a in #AsianGames2018 68 kg Freestyle Wrestling. Her medal is a testament to her relentless hard work & determination. Exceptional performance! #IndiatAtAsianGames."
