Oval Test: India comeback strong on day 1 to reduce Eng to 198/7 at stumps
London, Sept 7 (IBNS): Despite a steady start, England were reduced to 198/7 by the Indian bowlers at stumps on day 1 of the fifth and final Test match at the Kennington Oval here on Friday.
Alaistair Cook and Moeen Ali scored 71 and 50 runs respectively.
However, the English middle batting order batting could barely score runs.
Ishant Sharma had the best bowling figure for India on the first day of the Test match.
He took three wickets for 28 runs in 22 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja shared two wickets each.
