Asian Games: Pakistan beat India in a thriller

Incheon, Sept 25 (IBNS): In a thrilling encounter, Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 2-1 margin in a Pool B match of the 17th Asian Games 2014 here on Thursday.

In a neck-to-neck battle both the sides showed skills and powerful defence as they restricted each other from scoring the first goal.

Muhammad Umar Bhutta  scored the first goal for Pakistan in the 37th minute of the game.

The Indian players scored the equaliser int he 53rd minute with Nikkin Thimmaiah striking a field goal.

Muhammad Waqas scored the second goal for Pakistan and took the score at 2-1.

India tried desperately but failed to score the equaliser.

India will face China in their last pool match on Sept 27.
