Rajkot, Oct 4 (IBNS): After surviving an initial jolt, twin fifties by debutant Prithvi Shaw and Cheteshwar Pujara powered India to a score of 133 runs for the loss of a wicket against Windies at lunch on the first day of the opening Test match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Thursday.
Shaw is unbeaten at 75 (off 74 balls) along with Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 56 off 74 balls.
Earlier, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first against the visitors.
