India end second day's play on driver's seat, WI struggle at 94/6

Rajkot, Oct 5 (IBNS): India ended the second day of the first Test match on a positive note as West Indies struggled at 94 runs for the loss of six wickets here on Friday.

Roston Chase remained unbeaten at 27 at stumps.

He will be accompanied to bat on the third day by Keemo Paul (13).

Pacer Mohammed Shami picked up two wickets for India. R Ashwin, Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav picked up a single wicket each.

West Indies are trailing the hosts b 555 runs.

Riding on Virat Kohli (139), P Shaw (134) and Ravindra Jadeja (100*) Rishabh Pant (92), India declared at the score of 649 for the loss of nine wickets in their first innings.

Bishoo picked up four wickets for West Indies.
