Khabarer Khela Dhula win inaugural SRFTI Cup 5-A-Side Football Tournament

Kolkata, Nov 30 (IBNS): Khabarer Khela Dhula (KKD) won the inaugural SRFTI Cup edging past a fighting  Bengal Young Sports Journalists ( BSYJ) 2-I in a thrilling final of a 5-a-side football tournament organized by Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) at their campus here Friday.

While Pradip Mahato and Kartick Ghosh scored, BY Sed for KKD, Rahul Mullick reduced the margin for BYSJ.

After round robin league match between KKD, BSYJ, SRFTI and Door Darshan , league topper BSYJ and second place holder KKD reached the title clash with seven and five points respectively.

They finished third with 4 points while DD could not earn any point at the league stage.

Noted soccer star of yesteryears Sukumar Samajpati gave away the trophies and prizes in presence SRFTI Director Debomitra Mitra, Dean of Digital Media of SRFTI Abhijit Dasgupta and  other dignitaries of  SRFTI and DoorDarshan.

The tournament was organized as part of practical training for live coverage of a sports event for the SRFTI students.
